local talk is proud to present the first release on their sub-label 1nce again. this is where we bring back classic and forgotten house gems from back in the day with new mixes and reworks. with the second release on local talks reissue sub label, 1nce again we bring back one of our personal underground favourites from the golden age of house music (the early 90s). back in 1994 mateo & matos released an ep on black label records entitled raw elements, which included an amazing cut called >maw basics<. its one of those raw 90s house jams that got the house bump but without the pump, its rough and funky but still deep if you know what we mean? no cheese in sight! together with the original track (now fully re-mastered) we also asked gerd (4lux, ny stomp) to make a remix that would stay true to the original but still bring it to the next level. the result is absolutely amazing and we are pretty confident that this baby will deliver knock out punches every time it blasts through a massive sound system in a proper club.

adriatique is back with their second release on diynamic. again the two talented producers from switzerland created a really impressive ep that seems to fit just perfect for the upcoming summer! the opening track,deeper love, really sets the direction of the whole ep and will make you fall in love with it! a really nice and warm synthesizer combined with that catchy deeper love vocal and a funky picked guitar makes this tune unique. the second track by your side first of all persuades with that coltish sequenzer baseline. after the first break the tune unfolds its whole power. its again the nice combination of a deep, down pitched vocal, funky bended chords and a great synthie line that works just excellent together. a great one for the dancefloor! with motions, the third and title track of the new ep, adriatique deliver another harmonic tune that goes under the skin. its the slowest track on the ep. massive bass tones, groovy shuffled hihats and a deep, repetetive vocal loop result in a wonderful, warm track. the fourth and last track body moving brings the ep to an good end. with a nice vocoder voice the tune gets a touch of the 80s sound. and again a bouncy baseline delivers this special groove and guarantees to shake the floor.

last years tbg01 was charted by german djane ellen allien and broadcasted by gilles peterson of bbc-international fame - amongst others. the second installment (with the slightly confusing catalog-number tbg04) changes its appearance from white-label 12 inch in a black & white gatefold cover to heavy white vinyl in a multicolored disco-sleeve. the labels patron arthur boto conley showcases the work of obscure 1980s producer clifford trunk. the lo-fi dance and ambient tracks origin from a tape which was hand to conley by trunk during a brief encounter at düsseldorfs ratinger hof in 1986. depicted on the cover you can see italian designer ettore sottsass work for the fashion company esprits european headquarter which opened up the same year. clifford trunk was working for the sottsass associati from 1982 on and had a leisure time obsession for drum-computers and sample synths. what a serendipity! - limited to 333 records.

emmanuel debutes on march 17, 2008 with parade (be as one), played and supported by the likes of sven vath, richie hawtin and adam beyer. after this successful project emmanuel features the main stages of the world, such as sonar festival 2008 in barcelona, and the womb in tokyo.
in early 2009 emmanuel stepped up his pace and began his series of releases on top labels of europe, including vinyl as you can remember: showtime (get phisical), apple mangroove (saved), anywhere else (outpost) coffee shop and octopus (100% pure), to the last in order of time the vulcan of the alchemist (monique musique) played for an entire season as carl cox, spring sword (monique musique) and remixes for warm cologne gabriel ananda.
now emmanuel wants to celebrate five years of work, presenting his first album: the man with no shadows, which will be in stores from mid-july 2012 on monique musique label.
